On 23 July 2010, three years after its construction began Pravets Golf Club is officially opened. At first, golfers are able to play on 9 of the 18 championship holes, the driving range and the golf academy, and in May 2011 the whole 18 holes will be ready for play. Pravets Golf Club is part of the new Pravets Golf & SPA Resort, surrounding the popular lake of the town of Pravets. The Pravets Golf Course is a parkland style, par 72, course of 6469 m in its length. Its designer is the world famous architect Peter Harradine and his company Harradine Golf, based in Dubai, built more than 200 golf courses in the world

Signature hole 8

The most spectacular hole is No 8, par 3, with an island green and a stone-decorated bridge connecting the fairway and the green.

Hole 15, par 4 also incorporates water in the game. Low-handicapped golfers can drive a risky shot through the lake. High handicappers could choose alternative ways of attack to the green.

 

Hole 16

The par-5 16th hole also provides the thrill of playing across the water and is one of the most difficult and challenging holes on the course. Yet, it can still be achieved by beginners.

 

The biggest green in Bulgaria

Double green The 9th and the 18th greens are united in one double green, a well-known feature from the St Andrews Old course.
